Self Lifting Dumps Unleashes Truck Freedom with the SLED™: No PTO Required

Wiley, CO — June 4, 2025 — Veradyn LLC has launched its patented SelfLiftingDumps.com, the official source for the revolutionary SLED™ (Self-Lifting End Dump) — the first dump trailer that truly frees operators from the limits of dedicated hydraulic trucks.

During the early part of Covid we were trying to rent out our end dumps. We would get a 10 to 1 calls of NON-PTOs vs PTO trucks. This indicated a large untapped market. The non wet kit operators were mainly amazon, refer, or flatbed drivers wanting to fill gaps in their schedules. We found an unexplored market. This is why we developed the SLED.

Now, any truck can haul and operate a SLED™ trailer — no wet kit, improved safety, and no setup delays. If it can pull a trailer, it can operate a SLED.

Built for Freedom and Simplicity

·        Use any truck, any time — no dedicated unit needed

·        Enhanced stability while dumping

· Electronic roll monitoring and prevention

· Improved load characteristics for bridge law

·        Remote operation of tarp, gate, and tub from the truck (No wiring)

·        No hydraulic hookups, or specialized wiring

·        Lighter by 1,000 lbs compared to traditional systems (Steel)

·        Self-powered electric hydraulic system

·        Reduced downtime, increased fleet flexibility

·        Only 20 gallons of hydraulic fluid required vs 50+ traditionally (250lb saving)

The SLED™ doesn’t just simplify operation — it unlocks operational freedom for fleets, municipalities, and contractors. One trailer can now be shared between multiple trucks, used across jobsites, or leased without compatibility concerns.

Easier, Smarter Loading

By removing the (dog house) bulky front-mounted hydraulic cylinder found on traditional end dumps, the SLED™ opens up the front of the bed, allowing material to be loaded further forward — tub front plate is forward the kingpin, instead of concentrating weight on the rear tandems. This improves weight distribution across the truck and trailer, making it safer to haul, easier to balance loads, and more efficient to operate. In many states this allows for shorter trailers meaning larger payloads.

Cleaner, Faster Connections

The SLED™ eliminates the clutter of hydraulic hoses and auxiliary electrical controls between truck and trailer. There are no grease-covered hydraulic quick connects, no extra plugs, no guesswork. Just the standard DOT lighting cable and air lines — nothing else. Use the wireless remote for the trailer in the comfort and safety of the truck. This makes for a cleaner, more professional connection, and reduces failure points in cold weather, dirty environments, or when switching trucks frequently.

Proven Lifting Concept, Engineered for Trailers

The SLED™ uses a dual-cylinder lift system, a concept long proven in Caterpillar haul trucks. This design improves stability and reduces torsional stress during lifting. Veradyn has adapted this proven approach specifically for end dump trailers, resulting in a smoother, more controlled lift that protects the trailer frame and improves safety — especially on uneven or shifting loads. Think about this. No one has ever walked up to a bench press and thought lifting with one arm is better than two.

New Markets for Manufacturers and Dealers

The SLED™ opens new doors for trailer manufacturers and dealerships. Since the trailer doesn’t require a PTO or hydraulic setup, it can be sold into markets previously out of reach — such as owner-operators with leased trucks, small farms, rental fleets, and municipalities without specialized equipment. This innovation removes the technical barrier that has historically limited dump trailer adoption, giving sellers access to a larger, more diverse customer base.

Do More With Less

With the SLED™, a single truck becomes far more versatile. Contractors no longer need to tie up dedicated trucks for a single end dump. Fleets can scale their hauling versatility without pairing a truck and end dump together. Farmers, dry van, and flatbed truckers can use tractors interchangeably. The SLED™ puts control back in the hands of the operator.

SelfLiftingDumps.com is now live with product specifications, demo videos, and dealership opportunities across the USA.
