FAQs
Does it cost more?
NO it costs the same. To the end user a SLED will be cost equivalent. We add some items and take others away. In the end the cost is about the same. We can explain in a meeting.
Does it weigh more?
This depends on application and engineering. The short answer is NO.
The main weight savings come from our E-pto and cylinder set up. The cylinders use around 20 gallons instead of the traditional 40-60 gallons. This is upto a 500lb savings.
We remove the dog house structure and add small top rail attachments. This can be a significant savings as well.
Draft tube in stead of draft arm. This is a weight neutral swap.
During the engineering we will need to size cylinders and structural components. We have the opportunity to lighten steel trailers up to 1000lbs.

The SLED system is the most stable system on the market. It will help prevent injury and death to users and by standers. End dumps have known design flaws that have been ignored. By developing a SLED you are showing your dedication to safety and cutting edge design.
The SLED can be used by non-PTO trucks. We estimate that a traditional end dump can be ran by around 5% of trucks. You are missing out on the opportunity to sell to 95% of the transportation market.
